Dear Darlington Public School Families,

We're teaming up with Books Are Fun and their Book Blast program to help grow our students' home libraries and encourage more reading time over screen time. For more than 30 years, Books Are Fun has helped promote literacy by getting great books into the hands of students.

Today, our students learned about the Book Blast Program and the importance of having their own books at home. Tonight, we are asking you to take 7 minutes to support our Student Home Library initiative.

Register your student(s).
Send invitations to at least 10 friends or family members to support our students (don't worry, all the information you provide is secure and never shared with anyone).

3/4th Grade Darlington Festival schedule - Sept 27th @ Respect Gym

No school on Friday, Sept 19, 2025! Enjoy the day off!

The cross country team is NOT racing this weekend!

5th/6th Maple Basketball Tournament update:

The 5th Grade girls play @ 3:10, 6th Grade girls play @ 4:50pm and the 5/6 Boys play @ 5:40pm. All students will be bused to Maple leaving Darlington at 2:15pm. There will not be a bus bringing students back. Please contact Coach Callins via Rooms if your student needs a ride back to Darlington after the last game.

Next week is a busy week in the life of our school. Please keep an eye out on Rooms for information regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences.

Volleyball game @ South Rock Creek tomorrow South Rock Creek 17800 S. Rock Creek Road Shawnee OK 74801 JV - 4:30pm V - 5:30pm

Update on the 3/4 basketball tournament at Maple this week! Both teams won today so we will play on Tuesday. Girls play @ 4:30pm boys play @ 5:15pm. The bus will leave at around 3:30pm.

Please make sure you are checking Rooms on a regular basis for information from teachers and coaches. Basketball games kick off next week. Schedules are posted in rooms.

Due to the weather there will not be Cross Country practice after school today!

1st Grade celebrated with donuts today!!

WAY TO GO FIRST GRADE PARENTS! The first grade class won the Room's parent participation competition! Doughnuts for first grade on Friday! 👍

The Scouts came to see our K-5th graders. They will be in the cafeteria tomorrow evening starting @ 6pm to sign up anyone who wants to join the Scouts!!
